Avoid being wordy; however, make sure the person reading your letter fully understands the situation. In all cases, give as much specific information as possible i.e. people involved, location, frequency, time of day, etc.).

2. Request action to rectify this situation.

 

As [my or our] representative, [I or we] appreciate your efforts in assuring the residents in this community enjoy a high standard of living for our tax dollars, which reflects the American pursuit of happiness, freedom, and liberty. Therefore, please respond to me in writing with the steps you will personally take to correct this undesirable situation. For any further information, I can be reached at the number above. Again, thank you for your assistance in this important matter.
